PUBG Merchandise & Gifts
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole. The game is based on previous mods that were created by Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene for other games, inspired by the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale, and expanded into a standalone game under Greene’s creative direction.
In the game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves. The available safe area of the game’s map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round.
The game has also gained multiple awards from the individual press. Battlegrounds won the award for “Best PC Game”, “Best Multiplayer”, and “Best Spectator Game” at the IGN Best of 2017 Awards, whereas its other nominations were for “Game of the Year” and “Best Shooter”.

Is pubg cross platform?
Is PUBG Cross-Platform with PC? Cross-platform has been in a weird state for most of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS’ life. While Fortnite has gone full cross-platform, allowing players to squad up with one another, that’s not been the case for PUBG.
PUBG cross-platform play has long been a desire in the game’s community, but the feature seemed unlikely until mid-August when PUBG Corp revealed it at Gamescom. There, PUBG Corp shared scant few details about how things would work.
To date, it appears PUBG will be playable across Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while PC and mobile will be excluded. Players also likely won’t be able to squad up across platforms, with cross-platform interaction limited to matching up through the game’s queue.
PUBG Corp plans to begin testing crossplay on the PUBG test servers in late September, with a live release in early October. The developer has yet to announce specific dates for the tests.
When did pubg come out?
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was released for Microsoft Windows on March 23, 2017, as part of Steam’s Early Access program. The game was noticeably different from what it is today, with a single map and no in-game vaulting.
The core mechanics were there though, with 100 players dropping onto the same map and avoiding an ever-encroaching blue circle of death. The Early Access version for the Xbox One was released on Dec 12, 2017, as part of the Xbox Game Preview Programme.
On Dec 20, 2017, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds received its full launch. The game left Early Access and released with a host of new features including vaulting and a whole new desert-themed map called Miramar.
The Xbox One version of the game is still part of the Xbox Game Preview program and has yet to see a full launch, with it lagging far behind its PC counterpart in terms of features. On March 19, 2017, PUBG launched onto Android and iOS devices. The bite-sized version of the battle royale shooter features the same core gameplay of the main game, but with a few subtle differences.
